Richmond Park wedding – Kaya and Geoffrey
Richmond Park wedding – Kaya and Geoffrey
Richmond wedding photographer – Richmond Park wedding
Kaya and Geoffrey were looking for a wedding photographer to document their Richmond Park wedding. They contacted me and, after only a few emails and phone calls, we’d organised all the details for their big day.
The venue chosen for their wedding was Pembroke Lodge. Pembroke Lodge is a Georgian mansion located at the highest point of the Richmond Park, which is the largest royal park in London. It has a few rooms that can be used for weddings, and there is also a café where you can relax and enjoy the view. The couple had chosen the Russell Suite, which is located on the second floor of the venue, for their wedding ceremony and reception. I’ve shot a few weddings at Pembroke Lodge and the staff are excellent, very helpful and always offer great customer service for the wedding guests.
Kaya and Geoffrey had a beautiful, intimate ceremony, with some emotional moments and beautiful diffused light streaming through the windows.
When I left home for the wedding, it was raining, so I was expecting to shoot in the rain after the ceremony… I always carry an umbrella for my couples. But the rain stopped when I got to the venue, and then started again once we’d finished our photos! The venue has a beautiful garden and so many places to shoot, such as benches, paths, trees and even some arches.
Once we’d finished our photos, we went back to the Russel Suite for the wedding breakfast. After the meal, they cut the cake.
The speeches and first dance were the final stages of my wedding photography coverage of this beautiful wedding.
I am really happy to have been chosen as their wedding photographer and document their wedding day.
