Woodlands House Wedding- Barking and Dagenham Register Office – Sarah & Ricky

Last year, Sarah & Ricky contacted me to shoot their wedding at Woodlands House (located at Barking and Dagenham Register Office). I went to their house in Dagenham for the pre-wedding consultation and a year later, finally the big day arrived!

This was the first time that I had shot a wedding at Woodlands House, so I arrived a bit earlier to get familiar with the place and spot some interesting photo locations. Ricky arrived a few minutes after me, as well as the other guests. The forecast was for rain but, in the end, it didn’t rain at all and we even got some sunshine!

Sarah arrived in a fancy limousine and, shortly after speaking with the registrar, the ceremony started. Woodlands House is a great venue for weddings, with some nice backdrops for photos.

M & B Sports and Social Club

Once we had finished our photos at the registry office, we headed to M&B Sports and Social Club for the wedding reception, which is located just a few minutes away from the wedding venue. It’s a great place for wedding receptions, with plenty of space indoors and outdoors.

After the meal, the couple and I went for some photos outside while the guests were entertained inside by the DJ, Sam.

The speeches were good fun, followed by the first dance, and cutting the cake.

The party was really cool, with lots of the guests dancing and having fun. It was one of the funniest and lively weddings that I’ve ever been involved in.
