St Paul’s Woodford Bridge Wedding – Louise and Peter
Hallmark Hotel London – St Paul’s Woodford Bridge wedding
Louise and Peter contacted me to photograph their wedding at St Paul’s, Woodford Bridge and I said yes. The couple had planned photographs of bridal getting-ready at Hallmark Hotel London Chigwell Prince Regent, the ceremony at St Paul’s church and then group photos outside the church.
During the getting-ready, I managed to get some great shots of the girls. The light coming through the windows was incredible and it illuminated the whole room. I love window light because I can always get amazing images with it – in fact, the famous painters Vermeer and Rembrandt used this type of light in many of their portraits.
After the getting-ready at the hotel, I headed over to St Paul’s Woodford Bridge church, which was just across the street. It’s a beautiful church, but quite dark, and I wasn’t allowed to use flash. At times like these, it’s really important to have the right equipment, with fast lenses, high-ISO cameras, and expertise in shooting in dark places, otherwise your photos will be too dark or blurred. I have plenty of experience in these conditions and I was pretty glad to have the right equipment with me during this day
At the end of the ceremony, I took some group shots and couple portraits in the church garden, and then the couple headed for the reception.
It was a beautiful sunny day, with lots of friends and family celebrating Louise and Peter’s marriage. I was really happy to have captured their big-day.
