E-session at Hampstead Garden and Pergola
E-session at Hampstead Garden and Pergola
I shot this e-session at the Hill Garden and Pergola (Hampstead Garden and Pergola) in north London in the final days of 2017. This place is a hidden gem inside the Hampstead Heath. The Hampstead Garden and Pergola was built around 1905 as a grand garden, designed by the prodigious British landscape architect Thomas Mawson for its owner Lord Leverhulme. It was abandoned around 1960, but some reparations were carried out in the 1990s. Nowadays there’s an area open to the public and some private areas available for events and weddings.
The public section is very unique. It’s an offbeat place for couple’s photos, with a haunting atmosphere: quite eerie. I like its character and I believe it’s a good location for alternative pre-wedding photos in London. It will definitely please couples who want something unconventional for their engagement pictures. We shot during one of the coldest and shortest days of the winter, letting the elements help with the creation of a really captivating mood for these photos.
I really enjoyed our photoshoot at the Hill Garden and Pergola. Rhean and Vitor were amazing to work with and we managed to get beautiful photos despite the cold weather. I wish them all the best for their wedding and thank them for the amazing pre-wedding session.
