Merton Register Office Wedding – Annika & Jason
Merton Register Office Wedding – Annika & Jason
Merton Register Office wedding photography – Leigham Court Hotel – Woodlawns Centre wedding reception
Annika and Jason got married on June at Merton Register Office (AKA Morden Park House), the getting-ready was at Leigham Court Hotel and the reception at Woodlawns Centre.
I also shot their engagement session, and you can browse the photos of it here .
The “getting-ready” was at Leigham Court Hotel, next door to the reception venue, in Streatham. After the bridal preparation, the other guests and I hopped onto a red bus and headed over to Merton Register Office, in Morden. It was raining really badly, but all of a sudden, the weather changed and a beautiful sun appeared in the sky.
The ceremony was beautiful, very emotional and translated into two different languages, as Annika’s family are from Estonia. I really liked the idea of translation, especially here in London because I’ve seen weddings of foreign couples where the guests did not understand nothing at all.
After the ceremony at Morden Park House, we went to Streatham Park for a quick 15-minute photo-session and then headed across to the Woodlawns Centre for the wedding reception, to meet all the guests and celebrate this great day.
After the dinner at Woodlawns Centre, they started with the speeches. It was very emotional and I managed to capture so many beautiful reactions from the guests. Then came the cake-cutting and the first dance, which closed my photographic record of this beautiful wedding in South London.
I felt touched to have been chosen as the photographer for Annika and Jason’s wedding. Thanks guys!
